Hampel's Incaser is a design style applicable to many different packaging needs. There are no standard sizes - every application is custom designed for a product or product family. Incasers are best used when your product needs total enclosure, and your product cannot bare the weight of multiple packs stacked above. Incasers are very cost effective in a closed-loop system (i.e. factory-to-dealer) or the product is of such high value, premium packaging cost are of minimal consequence. Incasers provide value to you because they are returnable thus eliminating the cost of disposable packaging and all of its associated costs, materials, assembly, labor
                                                              and disposal.
Incasers are typically twinsheet molded to provide the requisite stacking and part holding requirements. See more on twinsheet below. Often, the top and bottom shell are the same, molded using the same tool - or slight variations resulting from different finishing operations. In most instances, Incasers are designed so that none or very little of the weight of the product stacked above it is borne by the product itself. IncaserŐs interlocking legs secure the stacks and reduce the overall stack height allowing for more to fit into a truck.

Incasers are viable and cost effective if present or planned expendable packaging costs for the product exceed $500,000 annually. Most projects have a payback in 6 to 18 months and are viable with as little as one product turn per year.

Twinsheet molding is a processing method yielding a finished part that is double walled řinner and outer with varying amount of space between them. The two sheets are married in the press and completely sealed together in an invisible unbreakable seam around the perimeter and in various other areas advantageous to the application. The advantages of twinsheet are numerous - the most important being considerable structural strength and the ability to have differing features on the top and bottom or inside and outside of the part. These advantages affect the degree of nestability.
